This unit is the one in service C40-9W on CSXs roster currently that I am aware of, and gets on the road from time to time to assist with the freights between Rigby and Mattawamkeag. |

The L061 crew doulbes up the nights L070 with CSXT 8873 - CSXT 1721 - MEC 7605 - CSXT 4034 - MEC 504 and close to 120 cars, taking them to just west of the North St. overpass. With "schedules" being a little inconsistent lately I was hopeful for a daylight departure, but unfortunately this was the yard crew and the train did not depart for another few hours. |

With summer trackwork making L053s start time significantly later in the day, the eastbound run had some better lighting opportunities than the late morning provided in these parts. A nice pair of blue dips takes a Leeds Jct. bound L053 along the fields of New Gloucester, Maine enroute to meet L054 who will take the cars up to Rumford the following day. |

Classic CSX at Belgrade |

With the first two units looking like a lashup from Florida in the early 2000s, U070 makes its trip east on the Waterville Subdivision through Belgrade, Maine in a rare late day run. While by far not the division with the highest traffic volume on the CSX system, the New England Division has become the place to find some of CSXs most unique motive power left on their roster, as well as the remaining Pan Am painted locomotives for some variety, kept mostly east of Portland with a few exceptions. Full lineup, CSXT 9280 - CSXT 9025 - MEC 515 - MEC 506 - MEC 7605. |

L054 Arrives at Leeds Junction |
| Description: |
Its a busy evening on the Waterville Subdivision as after chasing a U070 (rare daylight version of L070) east with a nice pair of older CSX GEs in charge I came back by way of Leeds Jct. just in time to snag L054 exiting the Rumford Branch with MEC 507 and CSXT 6229 for power. MEC 507 is somewhat rare for the area as its PTC used to keep it on locals in Massachusetts in recent years. They would meet L053 which had a SD23T4 (also a rarity for this local); CSXT 1727 for power running solo. |
