Description:  Pan Am's PO-3 with MEC 510, a CSX boxcar for a spacer and four LPG tanks rolls west (I know, timetable east but let's just imagine its MEC for a minute) across Frost St. in Portland, Maine bound for Dead River in Westbrook just before sunset. This is the former MEC Mountain Division, now known as Pan Am's Cumberland Mills Industrial Track, and sadly long unused beyond Westbrook. After Sappi recently shut down a machine and discontinued rail service, Dead River is the only customer currently on this line.

Description:  CSXT 2548; the first "geep" that CSX has put in freight service on the former Pan Am lines was moved last week from switching duties at Rigby Yard to working the SAPPI turn on the Hinckley Branch. Here we see CSXT 2548 - MEC 510 taking a break in between runs at the west end of Waterville Yard. They will head back east on SAPPI-4 later that afternoon. WA-1's power with MEC 351 - MEC 509 was out of frame to the right on the Lower Road, having just finished switching the Metro.
