(Left): MEC 7622 - MEC 7517 - MEC 7535 (Right): MEC 7609 - MEC 7518 (Switching Lead): PO-1 MEC 514 just before leaving for Brunswick with cars for CMQ. (House Track, Out of Frame): MEC 347 (WAPO): Had MEC 518 - MEC 501 - MEC 613 - MEC 606 and they were pulling down Track 2 into the yard at this time, and PO-3 had MEC 310 up at Deering Jct.

Description:  Pan Am PO-2 with MEC 7609 - MEC 606 (very rare to see six axles on the Brunswick Branch) assembles some cars at the west end of the interchange siding in Brunswick ME on a nice August afternoon. They were setting back a flat car and three company hoppers to stay in Brunswick and would depart later with four cars for Rigby.

Description:  In August of 2017 just seven months after Pan Am acquired its first batch of C40-8's from GE (former CSX) we find one that made its way up the Brunswick Branch, seen here on PO-2 at Hillside near Grant Rd. in Brunswick in sweet evening light with MEC 606 trailing. Six axle power on the branch is rare to begin with but does happen from time to time if nothing else is available and while 606 would definitely have been the preferred leader it was cool to see a C40-8 up in this neck of the woods.
